Crafting the Perfect Outfit

Finding the perfect outfit isn’t always easy. There are so many choices out there from brand name to cut to style. Most women are perplexed when they walk into the store and see dozens of frozen mannequins staring down at them with outfits that are perfectly crafted by someone who obviously knew what she/he was doing. Perfect outfit

Choosing the perfect outfit doesn’t have to be a daunting task. With these basic staples in your wardrobe you will be able to dress in style and feel confident every day.

Every woman must have a three piece suit. It must consist of pants, skirt, and jacket. Make sure that each piece is well tailored to fit your body perfectly. Don’t just settle on the typical black suit. Try for something in heather gray or pin stripe. The three pieces can be mixed and matched with other wardrobe must haves to create separate and unique looks.

It is important to include a classic white shirt. Again make sure it’s tailored to fit your body perfectly. For ladies with a more ample chest try a wrap shirt. For ladies with a more hourglass figure consider a fitted button down shirt. This staple is a grounding point for your outfit. It is a base that allows for accessorizing with color and pattern.

A black dress is a must have. Make sure that when you are putting your wardrobe together you find the perfect black dress. There are so many styles out there. If you are short stay with a dress that is at or slightly above the knee and if you are taller stay with something that is slightly below the knee or right at the knee. For women that are plus sized try a wrap dress or an empire wasted black dress for classic style. This item will take you places.

Add to your wardrobe a skirt. Try to-play with pattern and color for this piece. The same rules apply as with the dress for height but if you have wider hips and broader shoulders try an a-line skirt, it will balance out your body, and if you are petite or have a narrower stance choose a pencil skirt. With so many wonderful options out there you can’t go wrong with a skirt in your wardrobe.

A great pair of jeans must be somewhere in your closet. Find a pair of jeans that suits your body type. Stay away from tapered legs or severe washes around trouble areas like the thighs and back side. Most women regardless of size look great in a dark wash. Stay with a slight boot-cut. The small flair to the legs will make shorter women look taller and will accentuate the height on a taller woman.

Finally, add a basic t-shirt in several colors and styles to your wardrobe. Choose saturated colors that will not wash out your face. For women that are larger on top try a rounded collar, and for women that are smaller on top try v-necks. This item will come in handy to pair with any of the other essentials in your wardrobe. Have fun with this piece. You can dress it up or down depending on what items you pair it with.

Don’t forget the shoes! While this is the seventh staple it is important to have a few different styles. Incorporate into your wardrobe a pair of wedges, a pair of kitten heals, a pair of flats or ballerina shoes, shoes with a heel that is a comfortable height for your body structure, and an alternative to a tennis-shoe.

With these seven staples in your wardrobe you are guaranteed to find the perfect outfit. Remember to take risks with color and pattern and to have fun with your wardrobe.
